Life's Too Short!

"LIFE'S TOO SHORT TO CLEAN YOUR OWN HOME."
Did anyone else receive this brochure in the mail. I couldn't agree more, but unfortunately my husband and pocketbook don't. Wouldn't it be nice. I know folks that do have someone come in and clean their homes and can't help but wonder how it would be. No floors to mop, no toilets to clean - now that's the "life of Riley". Okay, who of my readers is old enough to remember the t.v. show, "The Life of Riley"? It seems like I can picture him (Riley) lying on a hammock. So what's wrong with this (my) picture? Actually, not much at all - nothing that a house cleaner can't take care of. Yeah, right - lol - only in my dreams!!!!!!!!!!!

Trystan's Blessing Day

Yesterday our sweet little Trystan Jeffery McGuire receive a blessing from his father, Todd. He was so good, didn't cry at all. He's a cuddly little thing and we are so blessed to have him in our family. Celest and Todd are wonderful parents and little Sydney loves him to pieces!

Kay in Texas

"WHAT HAPPENS TO A FEW HAPPENS TO ALL." -Bishop Richard C. Edgely

Many of you know that my sister, Kay Douthitt of Bogata, TX, lost her husband last week. It was so sudden and he was too young - 56. Jim, Wendy, David and I flew there for the funeral and to lend Kay some support. Those that weren't there had Kay and her children, Angela and Jeff, in their prayers. "We love you, Kay, Jeff, & Angela, want you to know that you are in our thoughts often." (See slideshow in earlier post)

Musings, Ramblings, or whatever you want to call it!

Hey all,
I am new to this blogging thing so please be patient and, more importantly, be tolerant of my inept writings, or should I say ramblings. I was not gifted with the ability to write or journal in a way that is the least bit interesting but I'm going to give it a try. I stumbled upon a great program that slideshow's my pics on the blog. Only prob is that with the free version you don't get full page viewing and you get an ad or two.

As you read in my header, I am a very grateful grandmother. I was talking with my brother, Barry, the other night and told him that it's funny how, once we get grandchildren, we become ridiculously doting and proud of our little grandbabies. So far I can still call all four of them grandbabies!. That may never change! Who knew it could be so fun - okay, so you knew!!

Celest and Baby Trystan

After a difficult struggle little baby Trystan entered this world. Mom and Baby are doing great. He had a little jaundice but nothing serious. Little Sydney thinks he's great, too. Celest was so focused during her labor and if he had been in the right position it would have gone very smoothly considering that Celest couldn't have an epidural. Todd was right there with her as a great support.
